I am planning to write article for my web designing and developing site/company.Will I get traffic from it ?
I do a lot of article marketing, and I have a couple of responses. 1. If you post to a very popular article website, and you do a good job optimizing your article for keywords, you may find that your article gets a decent search engine ranking...so you can get some traffic. 2. LOL... most of the time we right articles for backlinks to our main websites to boost that site's keyword rankings....not for the direct traffic.
Writing relevant articles is highly valuable for both search engines AND humans. You might want to have a look at this post for some tips: forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=8658422#post8658422
Mainly, webmasters write aricles for the SEO purposes rather than the direct traffic, because most people on these article sites are authors anyway.
I get over 3000 visitors a day and Ezinearticles.com is my 11th most active site for providing me traffic.
Sent a PM your way priya, hope it helps some. In my view, you can get both backlink benefits as well as genuine traffic from articles. A lot however depends on the quality of the article - Willie Crawford has received endless traffic using article marketing, mostly because he writes well and a lot of his stuff is published by editors.
Writing articles is good for backlinking but at the same time if people use them and keep the author box with it your also genersting traffic from the sites using the article so you can bring a lot of traffic doing it. Making keyworded articles can be kind of annoying since you end up competing with yourself for the same keywords when traffic going to you rather thean ezines first may convert better in terms of ad clicks. Kind of a trade off but one im willing to make.

Yes, if you write articles and submit them to top article directories, then you will get some traffic from the directories.
