I hope I am posting under appropriate category. I am planning to build a traffic exchange site where publisher can exchange their ad space. How is this idea? Have you ever heard about "WalkerSoftware / ventrino Traffic Exchange" at http://www.ventrino.com I was searching for a Text Ads Exchange server software. I found many but most of them are not up to the mark. In this forum I found a post where the member says that he doesn't like traffic exchange as search engine traffics are most powerful to him compare to exchange traffic. Also I found a member was selling his traffic exchange site (powered by ventrino). Question 1: Do you think a traffic exchange site will work? Can I return back my investment? If Yes then... Question 2: Is ventrino is the right traffic exchange script? My Feedback on ventrino script: 1. The script is encrypted so you need to go through their tutorial to customize your site. 2. I installed the trial version and found it didn't send the welcome email after registration. there is some bug. how to fix the bug? 3. Surfing sites to earn credits is a good idea but I hope that will not attract users. 4. I love the text ad exchange idea. 5. For banner exchange, users need to provide the image url. No image upload feature available! 6. No extra/free template to have a different look. Commercial templates are very expensive (>300$) 7. I have seen some of sites powered by ventrino. They don't look good to me. First page is good but once you login, other pages are not designed properly. I think this is because default template is encrypted and it's not so easy to update the looks. Last point. After discount, the script is available at 195$ but that's little expensive. Please tell me if you know any other good traffic exchange script. Thanks.
