Ok... Traffic Exchange sites were started years ago with the intention of generating traffic to sites. And even though they still work at doing so, they have evolved and provide something much more useful for any website, service or program and that is that they create SITE BRANDING. Due to the repetitive nature of the Traffic Exchange surf page, your site will get exposed numerous times to the surfer. Now, it has been proven that it takes a person up to 7 times viewing any particular AD before they make a purchase. This repetition only comes as a result of using Traffic Exchange sites. NO other marketing method can provide continuous repetition with such intensity without costing you a fortune.

SO, although initially and in theory traffic exchange sites were designed to increase traffic, they provide much more, site branding and product recognition. That is of course, as long as you use a manual traffic exchange and NOT the automated ones. The name says it all, an auto surf traffic exchange does not guarantee real people are viewing your site, so there is no one there to SEE it.

Facebook??? YEAH, ok... Let us be realistic, the VAST MAJORITY of the people that use Facebook do so for leisure and entertainment. That means that if you use it for business you have to make certain that you ONLY accept people who are there for the same things as you, business and networking. IF NOT, then you can rest assure it is going to be in vain and a big waste of time. Oh, and I forgot to mention before that in Traffic Exchanges you should only rotate Splash Pages and Squeeze pages with all your business information accompanied by an opt in form. This allows you to BUILD a list which you can follow up with your products, program or service.

Well... links exchange it's not the best way to get traffic to your site... definitely.

As said above, you can try with directories, and get some results, nothing dramatic though.

It will increase your site rank in alexa... but i don't recommended it. Since most of the user is locked with that kind of IP, so it will help for the startup but in the long run the organic traffic will triumph. My suggestion is try to build your backlinks and inbound links a lot so it will help your site longetivity. IMHO.

there are some good sites, depending on what you do.
My friend had a website focused on streaming videos, he used info.clipta.com as a link exchange. Worked out well for him
it's a free service, sign up as a partner put a small banner on your page, then make some "news" which are just links to a video or an article with image. Those news go into cycle on clipta.com and their partner websites. It turne dout to be a good way to get some quick traffic, but it all depends on your website content and your ability to make interesting news... eye-candy strategy

My experience with traffic exchanges and forums is that traffic exchanges bring lots of spammers and that's about it.

well, i would not mix traffic exchanges sites and google adsense...that is for sure... i think it is a bad combination.

as far as affiliate websites? i think you will hardly get customers because all the people browsing are there for the same business of getting credits; just like you.

Traffic exchange whatever you are a free or paid member, it is completely useless.
And even prohibited by Google Adsense because of the impressions.
My experience with traffic exchange is that they will bring you visitors that are not visitors: they come to your website but don't look at it , their job is to click on the ABCD after the counter is finished to get their credits.
My Google Analytics show a good number of visitors but those one are useless, they don't have any interest in my website.

Traffic exchange is good for building up a mailing list. I dont see the visitors staying longer than the stipulated period of time. You might as well create an attractive page for the purpose of getting mailing list.

Not necessary, you will be allowed to be placed in a high traffic website for free. Paid version is ok, but for long time sustainability, try to be ranked in Google SERP. Organic Traffic will come to you directly and that too for longer period.

    Thanks,

Yes, it is quite possible through only quality and dedicated SEO campaign.
