Traffic Exchange Pros and Cons

    Hi all,

I am looking for some feedback on the concept of Traffic Exchange using sites like TrafficG.com, realtrafficexchange.com and others. Has anyone used them with success, and what are some of the potential pitfalls? Specifically, I am wondering if I set up a site with traffic exchange services, will this possibly have a negative affect with some of my affiliate partnerships such as EPN? What about Google Adsense? I want to make sure that I am not going to get banned for any type of bad traffic.

Are there obvious benefits to using this method for building traffic to your site? Does it really pay off, or is it not really worth the effort?

I appreciate any feedback you guys have!

I am pretty sure you are not allowed to use google adsense ads on sites that are going to be propoted on traffic exchanges, such traffic is considered garbage. and even if you did the people visiting your site would only be doing so to gain credits to promote their own, no one will click your link, no one will buy anything it's just a vicious cycle that people go to as a last resource when that feel they've failed.

It's not worth the effort. You'd just be wasting your time.

There is no point in getting traffic to your site if it is not targeted, but if that isn't what you want, then go ahead!

Yeah, traffic exchange usually means a TON of hits to your site, but WORTHLESS hits. Nobody looks at them. You will see a super decrease in your CTR for sure.

    Thanks for the feedback.

So really you don't see a lot of "real" clicks from the ads, just other site-owners clicking their own links to increase ranking? Seems like they would implement some policy or something to prevent that (click on your own links, get banned), but I guess that would kinda defeat the purpose, huh?
