Traffic Exchange Programs....Are they Worth it?

I have heard a little about Traffic exchange programs....you surf some sites, build up credits, and then get your site added to the rotation and get some untargeted free traffic.

Now I know this is no good for long term traffic, but I have heard about putting a squeeze page in and getting lots of signups. Is this true, or just a myth?

If it is true, does anyone have a list of good traffic exchange programs? Or is it not even worth the effort?

    Thanks,
    sam

I concur - it isn't worth the effort. Everyone else is doing exactly the same as you are - busily surfing around for free credits and too busy waiting for the little countdown timer to pay any attention to the page that's actually displayed.

The only way it would sort of pay for it self if you had some darn good CPM ads but other than that I doubt it!

Traffic exchange programs are not really that great for google, not bad if you have a new website and are trying to get indexed quickly. but I have noticed that they can have a decent effect on yahoo positions if you are recieving regular traffic.

f you are using Adsense on your website then I would avoid using any traffic exchange because Google will notice.
