    Hei.

Overture says xx,xxx searches wordtracker says x,xxx searches and google gives a green graphic line. Should I panic ? How can I find most accurate search counts for keywords. I bet it can be done with google but I have no Idea how to read that green graphic line. Is there some tips and calculations to get exact number of searches from that green line ?

    Link to Traffic Estimator

    Thanks.

All traffic estimators are good for is for comparing different things. X has 10 times more visitors than X + Y = that sort of thing.

The traffic estimator works on the basis of a 5% CTR. So if it says you will get 5 clicks per day the daily search volume is 100.

Google trends shows only search trends for a keyword. Overture shows the number of monthly searches, WT – daily. However, the number are only approximate estimates, none of them is able to provide you with the exact data. You are able to get the precise data only is you are in the top for a keyword.

The bottom line is that you cannot find a completely accurate figure for any search. The best thing to do is compare different terms relative to one another.
