Traffic down on 4th of July but profits up

I noticed that the traffic for all of my sites was down about 10-20% today, but across the board I was getting better CPC. I actually ended up with one of my better days of the year today. Just was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. If it's not just a fluke maybe it's just simple supply and demand (Less supply of page impressions due to holiday = more cost per click)

Yeah, things change on special days. I remember last Halloween, the same thing happened to me.

My traffic drop since last month. Not only traffic but also CPC, too.
    That too bad for me.
Now I strarting write the free article to submit to article-directory to build more in-coming links.
I hope everything will change to the better state.

Maybe the one who are less likely to click the ads are taking their time off for the holiday. So good for you.

Thanks for the responses guys. My sites go across many niches but most are related to hobbies and such. Across the board the CPC was very nearly double what it averages, but traffic (and clicks) were down about 20%. Still 80% of normal clicks times twice the normal CPC made me have a 160% of normal day. Maybe it was just a fluke since other people haven't reported a similar experience.

Instead of surfing people were actually out doing things.
