You could try out google analytics or statcounter. Both are free and show where visitors come and a lot more. If anyone else knows of a top notch counter they would recommend, I'm interested in hearing about it. It doesn't matter if it's a paid version as long as it's really good. I'm familiar with google analytics and statcounter, so if you know those counters but are using something you consider even better, please share!
GoStats is an option you should try. More features than statcounter and realtime and easier to use than google analytics.
In your account, click on the project and choose what to view from the left menu. You wanted to know where visitors come from, that's the one called: "Country/State/City/ISP". Click on it and you'll get a list of countries. You can also view a map of where your recent visitors came from, that's the "Recent Visitor Map". But remember, these are just the most recent visitors. In google analytics you can view stats for last month, quarter, year etc. as long as you've been tracking it that long
GoStats also gives you extended tracking periods for visitors. (plus it's updated in real time) If that is what you are interested in.
Took the words out of my mouth.. both are good by them selves.. but put them together and im a happy camper.
