If I search for keyword XYZ, and it estimates I will get 10,000 monthly searches.

Why when I reach the #1 spot do I only get around 30% of that value?

I recently got to a #1 position for a word I specifically targeted and was bummed out at the actual results.

Not only that, might be a universal problem of all keyword tools?

I personally find that the search volumes google adwords keyword tool provides are also eligible for axing 50% - 80% down.

I also agree with the above.

I have a search term that according to Google has 165,000 searches per month, my site get about 1000~ per month on this term.

unfortunately - you can't trust Google for their numbers, only traffic data matters.

    cheers,
    Uri
