Hello everyone! I have been facing a problem for 2 month, I have a web site and that have been getting a lot of traffic but hardly 1% conversion right now. Any ideas on how to get the conversion rates better would be greatly appreciated!
First check your bounce rate if they are below 40% then users are interested in your website. In that case try to make your offers more actionable or catchy. If you have high bounce rate then you need to do something about your landing pages.
There would be navigational problem in your website. You need to check that in Google Analytics that user stays longer time on one page and then leaves the website rather than visiting the other page.
It is very important for any site that bounce rate should be less than 30%, however if it is higher from this than you have to use some methods like video optimization to hold viewers for long time.
Give some nice offers to your clients. Maintain contact with your contacts (if form is there in website). Because visitors trust is important for online sales. Make simple changes to your website to attract more visitors.
Coversion is a complete package, only traffic is not enough- check the followings- 1. Theme is very important for niche marketing. every niche has a chosen website theme. Like weight loss theme color is blue, white and orange, internet marketing niche theme color is blue, red, black and white, alternative energy is light blue, green, white. You may need to experiment with your theme. 3. Header and content should match. i.e If your site is about review and you are talking only about advantages then it's not a review, it's a testimonial. 4. Check what type of text, videos and images are used in your niche as well as competitors sites. Follow them and see what happens. 5. Font size and color is important. if your vendor is a high converting one, use same font and line spacing. 6. Follow the main content and attractions of your niche. i.e. internet marketing niche- video based, weight loss- text and video based, seo- text and images based. These are just examples. If your competitors are changing there main content type, may be it's time for you to change as well. 7.Above all, review the quality of your content. No grammatical/spelling mistake. Text content must be readable.
Look at Google Analytics, find out what keywords your visitors used to arrive at your site or page. If they found your site by searching for "flowers" and you sell toys, then they're not likely to convert. However if they want flowers and you sell flowers, then looking at your page content. Is your order form above the fold? Are you asking for too much unnecessary information in the order form? Look at your conversion funnel in Google Analytics to see where people are dropping off. Above all, if you sell a product that no one wants or if you sell at a price that no one will pay, then people are not going to convert no matter how good your page is. Simple supply and demand.
