Guys, I have a few questions and this is more directed to people who have blogs or sites that are updated with info constantly. How did you guys get traffic? I know SEO and Link Exchange, but other than that, did you guys just wrote, wrote, wrote and wait for the traffic to come, or did you submit constantly to social bookmark sites? I hope you guys can answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

    1. Try to search similar topics on the web and interact on other's person blogs using comments. This way you get more information on the topic aswell.

    2. Trying social bookmark sites is also a good idea, but I prefer doing it when my post is very interesting or unique.

Try to do something with the articles you write. If they are news worthy you could send the first paragraph to related websites and ask them to put a "read more" link back to your original news.
Don't just write, you need to do marketing as well.

I think putting in $1 to AdWords a day to market your blog could well be worth it. Espically if its interesting.

For blogs, if its good and you get into the blogosphere, and you write something that gets dugg, you could see yourself with a very large audience over night.

Forums, well what I have noticed is that some of the biggest forums on the internet, I have heard by word of mouth. DigitalPoint for example.

And from my experience of running a forum, it can turn into a way point for people to walk through, i.e find information. A small percentage who walk through *might* be interested in registering.

A blog, I have noticed is more of an information point. An audience that stays is much harder, but achievable.
