Traffic coming from Google lost - What should I do?

Just two days back I was getting 7500+ UV on my games blog but all of a sudden it has gone under 3000 UVs for yesterday. When I checked stats for my blog, I noticed that traffic coming from Google has declined though traffic coming yahoo, msn, live, search, aol and other etc remained almost the same.

I didn't blogged for a while (almost 10 days) because I was busy somewhere else. If this could be the reason that my traffic from Google decreased then why not from yahoo and all others.

And when I checked my Google rankings for my keywords I found that they have gone too down in the SERPS. Keyword which used to be on the first or second spot has gone as down as to the 10th page. You tell me how could I regain my traffic from Google now.

By the way I write in games niche which is highly competitive.

Perhaps there is a google dance? sometimes they sack down some entry in their index and refresh everything. Some site will affected by it while other keep increasing in traffic. No one could tell exactly how google will treat our site...

OP, it could be a regular fluctuation, or you could have dropped in the serps for a variety of reasons, or you could have been hit with a mild penalty.

Spend some time analyzing your site's performance in Google, check keywords and find out which ones have dropped. Try to zero in on which pages have lost traffic from Google. That should give you some idea how to fix the problem.

    Hahahaha :D

Try to get the regular routine back plus ensure your site will be cached more often by getting strong backlinks. probably you re not penalized, just get Google bots' attentions to index you again.

I think I know which site is yours based on an earlier post. If my guess is correct, you have almost no backlinks which will hurt you, especially in a competitive niche.

You're on a Blogspot blog. At the top of the page there is an obvious link for reporting objectionable content. It is very easy for a competitor to report you and potentially hurt your rankings if you have violated any terms.

At least some of the content is syndicated which helps for adding interesting text but won't help with indexing. (duplicate contest)

    Good luck

But that link is for reporting to the blogspot and not to the Google. Anyway, I will be removing it soon.
I can see lot of backlinks in Yahoo site explorer. It is showing more than 9000 incoming links from various other sites.
Well, four days have passed and traffic is still at the same level.

I suggest you try to blog little often. Not posting for 10 days can surely hurt SERPs.

I think it is because of Google Dance. But the question is during GDance SERPs move up and down rather than constantly going down. So I am still confused about it.
If it is bcoz of Gdance, will SERPs retain their rankings after the dance is over.
