Hey there, I have two questions. 1. Does alexa traffic ranking effect serp results? 2. If you found your site in the serp results and click on it repeatedly, does that effect serp results or the frequency of your site being crawled? Just wondering what your thoughts are? Sincerely, Travis Walters
i don't think so, Alexa is just another ranking and it won't affect SERP. And clicking your site repeatedly does not affect the crawl rate. If you want your site to get crawled, try making your content fresh and continue building links...
it does not effect . alexa only shows your traffic and does not effet your SERP and if you repedetly clicks that also not effect your rankings
Hey there, I guess it is fair to say though the higher the traffic rating the more your site will get crawled. This assumption is based on the fact that there are more URLs to crawl if your traffic is higher. The reason I asked the 2nd question was because somebody said that to me once. I did not think it was true. If it was, people would be clicking them all day Sincerely, Travis Walters
Well, Alexa ranking does not affect your SE rankings, but if you have installed the Alexa toolbar on your computer, new still not indexed sites often get indexed very fast, IF you open them on a PC with Alexa toolbar. In extreme cases I have seen new sites under construction in the Google index before I could even place the robots.txt with a disallow command. Concerning traffic and rankings, yes the amount of traffic is a ranking factor in the Google algo but you need really lots of traffic to be able to see the effect. Clicking here and there on your link in Google won't help a lot for two reasons: 1. Usually all those clicks com from the same IP, so you need to use a software like Thor that changes you IP constantly to avoid this. 2. There is much more in that algo than the pure click rate, like time spend on page and navigation through the site. So clicking on your own link and navigate through your site, although it helps, will not get you visible effects in SERPs. You can achieve better results faster and easier if you spend that time in link building and SEO.
Hey there, How would google know how much time is spent navigating through a site? Does the alexa toolbar keep track of this? Thanks for the info. Sincerely, Travis Walters
According to me , Alexa ranking does not effect and do not click on your link again n again, its of no use rather build some quality links in that time, it will help..
That depends on yor PC If you don't have any toolbar istalled, I suppose they can't (maybe they can when you visit a page entering from their SERP by setting a temporary cookie), they also can't if you just visit a page and leave it closing your browser or hitting the "back" button. You need to use a link on the page you opened, to enable them to see the time you spent on that page. This changes in the moment you, or any othe user, has a toolbar installed (specially the alexa or google toolbar) I think no need to talk about the Google toolbar - you know they are gatharing user's navigation habits with this tool. The Alexa toolbar does something similair but on a much deeper level AND Google uses to a certain point Alexa information in it's ranking algo and indexing procedure.
you probably wasting your time clicking your site in SERP over and over again, it has no effect at all, just wasting your time clicking. The alexa ranking doesn't affect any thing that is related to driving traffic.
Alexa ranking has nothing to do with SERP ranking. They are totally different. Alexa is just an estimation of site's traffic while SERPs ranking is based on the over-all structure of a website.
1). NO 2). NO It would be vice versa tho, traffic that you can through organic search (i.e. serps) will help boost the alexa ranking (but not only the traffic from organic search, any kind of traffic would help to boost the Alexa ranking).
Alexa and click has no affect on rankings. Alexa is a tool that display the estimated traffic of a site.
Nope, only visitors on your site that have installed the alexa toolbar will effect your alexa rankings
