Traffic and getting listed in google?

I was wondering what I am doing wrong, if anything. I have just started my website and optimized it for SEO. My website consists of live cams and and selling puppies on the cams. SO, I submitted my site to several webcam directories and also placed ads for my puppies on several pet listing sites including high ranking ones like terrifficpets.com. After submiting my ad I noticed that the googlebot had visited my site. Shortly after that i looked up my keywords in google and found nothing in the results, but when i typed in my url it showed up. So i figured I was indexed just not within the top 1k sites. so I decided to use google adwords to help promote. I have been using it for the past day and have been getting some decent traffic from it but my main traffic comes from the classified ads and on the webcam directories. well just today i looked to see if I had moved up in the listings on google, and it wont even find my url anymore even when i type it in like it was before. My question is basically why is this and what do i need to do to get indexed better. My site has only been up for the last 2 days and I havent really seen much traffic til today. As of right now I have had 1,541 vistors to my site just today. will that help me get indexed? I am just confused on what I need to do and why google had me in there under my url and then its gone fer some reason. Help Please

Hopefully you will be indexed in next few days if googlebot has already visited your site.So need to worry.
But if you have some deep links in your site then try to submit sitemap to google it will faciliate crawling of your site.

for your second day, 1,500 visitors is pretty damn good.

What keywords are you trying to rank for? What does your competition look like?

These kind of things take time. In some cases, it can take a year or more to get good rankings on Google.

adwords will get you traffic but not better serps.
seo is the key but that's not a magic stick. you need to work hard promoting your site to start having organic referrals from google. expect also to be sandboxed for few months.

if i could type in my url in google and only one result comes up and its my page, that means im indexed correct? but then acouple hours later i try it again and nothing comes up, does that mean they de indexed me or something? lol

Yea i figured 1500 ppl wasnt bad for my 2nd day , seeing how I only had 30 the first day. does page hits matter in getting index? I have had 9,388 for the day.

any ideas on getting good links, my page rank is still 0/10?

    thanks for all the replies

    Ummm....

You are bit confused. you are getting only paid traffic (from banners, classified ads on directories and Adwords), but no free traffic.

You site is just just 2 days old....how can you expect results in SERPs??? For that you have to do good SEO work.

Do some seo excercise on your site.....let it get indexed and gain back links...than you will get FREE traffic from SERPs.

    Good Luck. :)

By the way how much you have earned (Net Profit) in these two days and what is your total investment??

I second that. I'd love to know how to get 1000 visits to a site on the second day.

MSN has a history of indexing new sites almost immediately. I love that search engine when it comes to getting my sites ranked. I just wish more people used it so I could get as much traffic as the same ranking at GOogle.

Yep - it was actually listed within 24 hours of going live

Usage? Wait till MS starts getting the search box as part of the OS! :D
