As I haven't been a publisher for too long, could you share with me what you consider traditionally the slowest time of the year for traffic and adsense earnings? Thanks in advance!
Usually around Christmas time, from my experience. People are out visiting family/friends and whatnot. Spring break time is pretty bad too.
In general, the traffic decreases a lot during the Christmas time. It also depends on your targeted traffic. For example: If your website is targeted towards Indian people, the traffic is more likely to decrease during the Diwali or other holidays.
I would think that the winter season is the best, since alot of people are inside bored and surfing because of the cold. I agree that the worst is Spring Break and Christmas (unless your site is item-based).
It really does depend on the audience and the topic. In general, in the US, I would have to agree that the worst time is around Christmas. I find that it runs from Thanksgiving through New Years. Traffic on my sites goes down as much as 75% from peak times (April-Aug). I attribute this to less people surfing the net at work. (j/k, sort of) Now, if your selling toys then Thanksgiving up to Christmas might be your best time of the year.
Depending on the niche. Travel sites are best during Christmas/Spring Break/Summer/Vactional seasons. Proxies are worst during summer months.
it depends on what you're selling online. i sell gifts online and sept to may (thanksgiving to mother's day) are busy but summer months are slow because people are on vacation and don't send gifts online. the recession is also effecting the sales.
