Hi - I'll be starting a big affiliate program for my trading sites soon, and wanted to ask all of you who are affiliate marketers (especially for trading/forex sites)... + What's the most important things you look at when considering who to promote, for sales conversions? + What should I make sure to not do, eg policies/stuff that other aff pgms have done that you don't like? + Being paid on time is important -- is paypal within 2-4 weeks good, or not? + 2-tier, yes or no? + 1SC - lessons learned? + Anything else to keep in mind, as I launch this aff program? I want to do it right, and you guys have "seen it all"... I want to make sure it's a win win for everyone. Appreciate any candid comments... -Ken p.s. also, any tips on how to avoid being scammed by ripoff affs, and how to ensure affs don't spam? I'm thinking of just opening it up to US/UK/Canada affs at first (since I have attys in all 3 places). Aff ripoff example: For example I don't want some ripoff aff using proxy domains/servers to make $2400 in commisshes, I send him 90% of it, then all the orders get chargebacks and I'm out all the commissh $ I sent, he disappears etc. Safeguards? At least if it's someone I can whois domain verify (plus make them pay a $1 application fee via paypal for avs/identity verification), I know who they are and can file criminal/civil charges if they try to rip me off (which I do). But I don't want to make it too hard to join, too many hoops.. while putting safeguards in place.
