I have recently completed some content writing work and I was wondering how my trader points would go up as I don't seem to have earnt any. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I hope someone can help me out.
You will get the iTrader point, when the person you completed the trade with, gives it to you. if they dont give it to you, you can ask them nicely maybe.
You are talking about iTrader points? Here you go: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=201652
But bear in mind that iTrader isn't an automatic entitlement - you'll only get it if the other person is satisfied with the deal. I don't award for every deal I do - I can stomach the fact I'll not get one in return!
It's always good to leave positive iTrader if your end of the deal was concluded in a positive way. Just send the person that you are doing the business with a IM saying that you have left positive iTrader and would love one in return if the deal has been concluded satisfactorly on their end. Sometimes people forget because they have work that is on their mind.
I completely disagree with prompting for iTraders. In an ideal world iTrader should be awarded with no prompt whatsoever and only when the sender is completely happy in doing so. To send a PM saying 'I've left you a positive iTrader' is, in my eyes, tantamount to emotionally blackmailing them to reciprocate. It's also a completely unnecessary move because they automatically receive an iTrader notification anyway.
iTrader is left manually after a deal is completed or when one party or both feel, its the time to leave feedback. Its exactly as eBay Feedback.
