Trademarks in free blogs?

I was just wondering if I am allowed to use say the name of a movie in a free blog subdomain?
    e.g. moviename.blogspot.com, moviename.wordpress.com etc

    Is this legal or not?

I know that some policies don't allow the use of the trademark before the third "/" (e.g. http://www.domain.com/trademark) but I'm unclear as to what exactly is the case with subdomains/free blogs?

It depends. The TOS of most hosted blog sites will not allow this.

In practice you won't have a problem unless the trademark holder complains. Many trademark holders won't know, and many won't care, but some will complain and get you shut down.

Yeah, that sounds right as my view is that if you can't use something in a domain that you shouldn't really be able to use it in a subdomain.

    Cheers

You have to contact the blog manager for this.
