Trademark Question

    I know having domains with ebay and such seem to be illegal but where is the line drawn on creating fan site domains that include trademarks?

    And what about profiting off them?

    That is the line you seek. You can't profit off a party's trademark without their
    consent, not even ads.

    So a fan site couldn't have something like adwords?

    Oh, and should you ask why others are seemingly getting away with it, it also
    depends if the trademark holder will take action or not. While not every person
    gets caught for speeding, those that do...tend to regret it.

    YMMV.
