I think I finally found the correct place to post in. Can I get a review of my site @ www.BarterBall.com ? It is a barter site. I posted this in general business too, hope it's not considered spammy. Anyway, thanks !

It looks really good, love the colours.

When I registered I got this message:

    upload_2014-11-7_14-39-21.png

Saying it's deactivated implies it was active and now it's not, and I was a bit taken aback. You could probably drop that and stick with the activation email message.

On the account info page I discovered that the site is for the US only. It would be polite to warn non USA visitors on the sign up page that their IP "suggests they are not in the US" and therefore the site "may not be of value to them".

From a technical point of view you shouldn't have javascript before the doctype and, as you go into production, look at getting all the javascript and css into separate, cacheable files.

Hey, thanks Sarah. It hasn't been updated recently as it is kind of dormant as a buyer or new owner is sought out. I will keep the US and javascript tips in mind. You may have gotten that account message because we were upgrading the back end to use a new improved matching and email service, but didn't finish. The site had multiple parties working on it over about a year time frame and thus costs nearly 80k. Let me know if you have any questions or more comments.

So the point of asking for a review is?

To see how you ( or anyone else) not so closely involved with it likes it as it currently is. Your feedback was helpful. Looking to sell as is though as we just don't have time to make any additional mods to it.
