BACKGROUND

Tracks 'n Wheels is developed by two programmers / artists. The game was developed on our spare time between May 2010 and December 2010. The game's public beta was launched on December 19th 2010.

The game was developed from ground-up by us and this is the ORIGINAL AND ONLY version of this game we are selling!


HOSTING AND DOMAIN

PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND ENVIRONMENTS

The game itself is developed with Adobe Flash using Actionscript 3. It uses a few free libraries such as Box2D and TweenLite. Serverside is running on LAMP. Game's administration interface has been developed with CakePHP (http://www.cakephp.org/). The game and the server use XML in data exchange.

Website is running on Wordpress and the user forums (http://forums.tracksnwheels.com/) on phpBB.

All the databases are MySQL.


BACKEND

We have built the game's backend interface with CakePHP. The backend provides an easier way to do basic administrative tasks such as adding new track parts and cars, enabling/disabling user accounts etc. The backend displays also some visitor statistics such as page visits and user registrations.


WHAT DO YOU GET?

• FULL rights to the game (name, logo etc.)
• Source code (.fla, .swf, .php etc.) for the Flash game and the serverside administration interface. We deliver also the open source libraries which we used in developing the game.
• Source code for website and user forums
• All the databases for the game, website and user forums.
• Graphic files (.psd, .png etc.) and fonts used in the game, websites and logo.
• 3D models for the cars and track parts (.3ds). The original car models have been found for free from the internet but we have made some changes to them.
• All the sound FX + the music track (.mp3)
• Developer rights to game's Facebook application profile and page
• All the usernames and passwords to OVH.com's hosting, email accounts, databases, website and user forums, Twitter, Google Analytics, Youtube, Applifier, Social Gold and Mochi Media accounts

SUPPORT

We will provide 7 days of email support for technical questions regarding the game.


MAINTENANCE

Currently there's no need for daily maintenance and OVH.com's server is also capable of handling the traffic. But since we are talking about a Facebook game, you need to keep in mind that the game needs new content such as new track parts and cars. At some point maybe even new features, game modes, rewards etc.


WHY ARE WE SELLING THE GAME?

Due to changes in our personal lives we haven't got enough time to maintain and support the game as we would like to. We are also planning on investing the money to our new projects.

Since the game has been online for such a short time, it's completely possible to 'reboot' the game and start over with for example new features and graphics. Or why not just take the driving engine and build a completely different game around that?

With some basic marketing and advertising this could be a true gold mine. This is a great opportunity to get your hands on an UNIQUE Facebook game with lots of cool features!


REVENUE DETAILS

So far we have received a total of 2 USD in micropayments. There is no ad revenues since we haven't added any ads to the game or to the websites yet.


TRAFFIC DETAILS

Since the game has been online only since December 19th 2010, we haven't received that many players yet. The only marketing we have done is posting a few threads to game forums (mainly finnish).

Unfortunately, the game doesn't have a translation file. The texts are hard-coded into the Flash file and some are displayed as images. All the Photoshop files are included in the deal, so it's pretty easy to remake new images with new texts.
