Tracking with masked/url-forward domain

    So let's say you're promoting an offer using PPC (adwords) and using a masked domain which is forwarding to your affiliate link.

    Now the domain is only forwarded to one specific URL, so my question is how can you use this same domain for multiple tracking IDs? Is it even possible?

    I believe that a 301 redirect using a php file will accomplish what you want.

    <?php
    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("Location: http://www.forwarddomain.com/page.html");
    exit();
    ?>
    Code (markup):
    Put the code above on a page under your domain, changing "Location: http://www.forwarddomain.com/page.html" to whatever web location you want to direct traffic to.

    For example, open notepad and paste in the above code, then save the file as something like "bodybuildingoffer.php". Upload the .php file with FTP to your hosting account in the desired directory. Then just start marketing using "http://www.your-website.com/bodybuildingoffer.php" as the link you send your traffic to where your-website.com is the url of the page you are trying to send traffic to. Do that and you should have a url that forwards your traffic and will allow you to change your specific offer one day with a simple edit of the .php. This means your url in all those old articles and backlinks you created, with "http://www.your-website.com/bodybuildingoffer.php" as the link, are still pulling traffic that is worth something to you and not just heading to an expired offer or a publisher that doesn't pay you .

    mhovingh, thank you for that great advice.

    But, one thing still remains, how can I accomplish that without the URL being changed in that address bar, as AdWords will not approve the ad if the landing page is not the same as the displayed URL.

    Thanks.

    I am sorry M5love but I don't have a good answer for you then. I just woke up and didn't read your post too well before replying. I hope someone else can offer a good solution for you. I just don't know of any way to use your own domain with adwords if you are just forwarding to a publisher automatically without using a landing page and are worried about Google getting upset over the destination not matching the url you use in your AdWords ad. Best of luck in your search for a solution and I will come back and post if I happen to find anything that might help you.

    You can

    iFrame the Sales Hoplink to your domain name. Add an article at the end use css to hide the
    contents of it ( So you can have content for adwords to analyze ) make sure its relevant to the product. Add a few links out to extra pages on your site as well as few pointing to similar resource or products
