tracking user actions

Does anyone know how I can track a user's actions from my site in a different window? I'm sure you've all seen those sites that give away an ipod or something similar if you complete some trial offers. I want to do something similar but I don't know how to track that they've completed the actions. How do I do this?

    Hi LongBlog

you need to provide some more details.

What actions exactly would you like to monitor? Signup actions? Clicks? page views?

You can already do this via web statistics, its not live though.

Try kayako SupportSuite - live chat feature, allows you to see exactly what your visitors are up to.

I want an automated script which can determine if they've met all of the requirements of a given offer. For example, I have a CJ.com sponsor who pays $2 every time someone gives them their name, address, and phone number. Is there a way for me to automaticly track this? I would like my site to immediately recognize that they've completed these actions. Can I do it using cookies or something similar?
