Tracking Prospects vs. Customers in Aweber Lists

I'm using Aweber for some email lists. One of the sites I use it on sells a digital download product. I have people that have signed up for the email list who did not buy the product yet, and so I will send out various offers or discounts for the product to this mailling list.

Is it possible to have 2 separate lists for "prospects" and "customers" and automatically move a prospect to the customer list when they make a purchase of the item? Ideally without them having to opt in again.

What do most people do to keep track of this?

    Hello Vince007,

I noticed that no one has responded to your question as yet, so I would love to take the time to do that. I'm not sure if you have found a solution by now. But one of the things you can do is if you already know which of the subscribers have not bought anything you can segment them from your list.

Another option for future reference is to have 2 ways to receive this information. The opt-in box on your page will be for those that just want continued information, but do not want to purchase anything from you. Then depending on the time of shopping cart you are using you can parser it with AWeber so that when people purchase their info goes directly to your AWeber list.

If you have any questions or would like me to elaborate a bit more on this please email me at felicia@fpeservicesonline.com. I will not check this site often as I signed up just to provide you with an answer. Also please email to let me know if you have solved this problem and what method you used.

    Thank you,

    Felicia
