Tracking People who Buy/Sign Up for Stuff

I am planning on making an incentive based website using CJ links, and was wondering how I could verify that someone actually bought/signed up for something. Is there a way to find their email or something?

    Thanks.

You can use SID to track them. In your affiliate link that goes to CJ, just make sure you pass the sid variable. For example if your link is normally this:

    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1234567-10390380

    Make it this instead:

    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1234567-10390380?sid=whatever

The SID you pass will then show in your reports/exports for the transactions.

I run an incentive based site and it's exactly as digitalpoint states.

When a user joins the site they are given a User ID which also acts as their referral ID. When they click on the link as shown above their User ID is tracked by the advertiser, so when you come to view your reports from that particular advertiser it should show up as being the case.

All you need then do is check the user ID in your affiliate reports against that in your member list to find the email address that particular user signed up with.

What do you mean by "member list"? My site will not require registration, I was planning to make it more of a competition, and pick an email at random.

Well unless you find someway of integrating a system whereby users put an email address in somewhere I'm not sure how you're going to get CJ to track a specific user who you can then compare against your records.

AFAIK, you will have to get them to register, assign a user ID to them, so that you can track their click, and if you want to email them yourself, you're going to have to tie that user ID in with an email address one way or another, so I think you'll probably have to get them to register some sort of basic details.

but then the link for each ad would have to be user specfic... how do you do that? each link would have to have that unique users id in it. do you have to have seperate pages for each user? or is it a cms mod?
