tracking parameter taking away from link juice

    Hi,
    I have made a deal with another website to have my link on their website in which I will pay them when the link is clicked to my website. I want to track this to make sure that I am not overcharged.

    I have a choice of having a direct link or I can put one with a tracking parameter for my own purposes of tracking.

    ex: www.test.com?tracking=site1

    Would this extra parameter be taking away from the backlink value having the link on this site? Or should I just leave the direct link in there to gain the full backlink juice?
