Tracking keywords with apostrophes doesn't seem to work?

    Hi,

I use the keyword tracker to monitor my websites including this www.running4women.com - I'm tracking keywords such as "women's running", "women's running club" and so on. I get good results in google for these, but the keyword tracker is showing the rank as N/A. Is this a bug? Anyone else experienced this one?

    Kind regards
    Lar

It seems to be working when I try it... maybe data center flux?

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your reply - I don't think it's data center flux, it's been like that for well over a week. I'm seeing big changes in other keywords I'm tracking on Google but any keywords with apostrophes are showing as N/A, should I try removing them and adding them again?

Addition: I just tried logging on and clicking on one of the errant keywords and I got some script errors which I've screenshot and uploaded to my server here - [http://www.valeit.com/kwt-err.gif] if you want to have a look. Maybe this is the problem.

    Kind regards

Hmmm... that error means the server you have your advanced usage script on was not responding for some reason.

    Hi Shawn,

I thought it looked like that was the problem. I've changed the name of my advanced script and updated my preferences with the new name. I can hit the script directly here: [http://www.valeit.com/kwt.php].

It seems to be working without generating errors now anyway, but it doesn't look like it's fixed the original problem in that my search phrases with apostrophes are still showing as N/A on Google. Do I need a new

    Kind regards

No, it should not need any special permissions or a special PHP version.

    Hi Shawn,

Sorry, I edited my previous post without seeing your reply. Like I mentioned it's working now strangely - but the underlying problem still exists in that my keywords with apostrophes still show as N/A for Google. I'll leave it a while and see if it just datacenter flux. It has only been a week since these keywords "women's running blah blah blah" made large upwards gains on Google.

    Thanks for your help
    Kevin

Try something random with an apostrophe to see if it might be the data center. For example, when I tested it, I just did it for shawn's.

    Hi Shawn,

I've done that - here are the phrases I've tried:

I tried the keyphrase "flash's timeline" with the url http://www.macromedia.com - on Google itself the macromedia site comes top but keyword tracker says N/A. I tried something similar to my keywords: "men's health" on the url http://www.menshealth.com once again this site is top in Google for that search but keyword tracker says N/A. I then tried your recommendation of "shawn's" on url http://forums.digitalpoint.com - looking at Google it shows this site on around the fifth page but my keyword tracker is saying N/A for that too.

    Hope that helps
    Kind regards
    Lar
