Tracking Iframes

    Hello,

I'm looking for some help! I've been trying to get cross site analytics data working for a few weeks now!.

Basically I have a call-to-action website to apply for finance, due to data protection issues the form itself is hosted on another company's website, they are willing to add in a GA code however the problem I'm having is not being able to track the relevant data, as the iFrame is hosted on another domain... I presume?

I would like to know all the usual stats, like what keyword brought them to the apply now form and what source... However all I can pick up is how long they were on the page etc (the really basic data).

If anyone could shed some light (I'm no good at Java so the Google help pages don't make much sense to me, even though I have followed the instructions religiously).

I will be happy to pay someone a fee to guide me through the process :) However if someone has any advice or could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

    Many Thanks,
    Jac

    Hi Jac,

To track data or different domains (your's and the one of the form) you have 2 options:

    1) Make your GA profile able to track cross domain data.
(go to "admin" > "tracking info" check "yes" on Multiple top-level domains of ...)

    2) Open another property for the site of the form and send them the tracking code from this property.
Go to your accounts list, choose your account and add another property (type the domain of the form).

    Good luck :)
