Tracking ID and the cookie

I was curious. Obviously, I take advantage of the tid (tracking id) for my hoplink urls. It's the best way to track. But often, people will just bookmark the affiliate page when they get there (which doesn't have the tid in the url) or they'll remember the name and come back a few days later from google search or something and end up buying.

Obviously, a cookie is put on their computer, so they can track the affiliate sale in case it happens at another time. Is the tid information saved too?

Yes, the cookie saves the affiliate ID and the TID (why would you think otherwise?).

I don't know. Just didn't know if they'd go that far.

Supper, yes but don't hold your breath about it, personally the cookie is too easy to override anyways, so don't worry about it..

If it's an average consumer he won't care about the hoplink one bit anways, but if a marketer sees the hop and wants the product, he'll just override the cookie with his own hop and buy the product with his link.

Nothing you can do will stop it, no amount of masking can change that.

I'm not worried about someone stealing the cookie. I was just more concerned where my cookie come from.
