Tracking historical virtual pageview data

    Hi,

We have been using virtual pageviews to track decision points that our users make and I am trying to figure out how to pull parts of the query string out of the URL. An example of a pageview I need to track is below. I would like to be able to pull out the user ID and specialty from the query string.
    /simulation/tests/?user_id=xxxxxx23&specialty=General Practice&case=MS75-03&version=2&type=test&action=add&name=Complete Blood Count (CBC) w/ Differential

We are moving to event tracking now, but that doesn't help for historical data. I'm using advanced segments, but would like to be able to use the user ID and specialty from those pageviews as dimensions. I feel like there has to be a way to extract this data somehow because it is all there. All of the GA feature I'm turning to don't apply to historical data though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Calvin Gaunce

    Hi Calvin,

You cannot make any changes in historical data. Whatever the changes you make gets reflected only on new data
