I was just wondering how you track how many listings you have in google as well as the other SE. I have using +site:domain.name, but having so many names now, it takes to long to search all of them out daily in google, msn, and yahoo. Is there some tool where I could enter all my domains, push a button on a daily basis and it would update a spreadsheet or something similar with the number of listings each domain has in the various search engines? Ideally, if it saved data on a daily basis, I could quickly tell how each domain is doing very quickly. The preference would be something that could update an excel spreadsheet so that each column would represent a given day...this way I could keep information regarding domain expiration dates, etc in other columns. Thank you
Three suggestions: 1. You can export the info from the DigitalPoint Keyword and Backlink Checker into a CSV format. I think there are programs and scripts that could convert the data to the spreadsheet format you need. 2. Use Google Alerts for your regular searches, like site:domain.tld and link:domain.tld, perhaps a unique word (brand) or phrase. It is not perfect, but it is very helpful. 3. As far as domain expirations go, you should have an up-to-date reliable email address that you can use with all your registrars. It would not be difficult to pipe that info into a script or load it once yourself, if you cannot be bothered to read the expiration warnings. If your registrar is not sending expiration notices, you should transfer the domain to one that does.
The best free one I've seen is the one here on Digital Point. I've used WebCEO too which isn't bad, but the most robust program I've used is IBP 8 by Axandra. Many large SEO firms use this software that also has a custom export feature to put your company logo or letterhead. They then turn around and charge their clients thousands of dollars for these analytics. Pretty sad. www.axandra-web-site-promotion-software-tool.com
I agree, Axandra has some good stuff. I do hate the link exchanges I get from the users. Too impersonal, and seems to use your meta-description and title for the linking data. Most users are too lazy or buzy to change it.
