Hello, I am giving away a free eBook on my site and am wondering what would be the best way to track the number of downloads? Recommend any stats programs, trackers or methods?
Eugene, Simplest way I use is to have an opt-in form. Again I am a marketer and I value data more than anything. SO if you are giving away frees stuff, which adds value to your visitors and they wouldn't mind sharing their name/email, why not have an opt-in form. This way you'll serve the dual purpose of having a count of how many copies you gave away but also who downloaded it.
