This is a common problem for many affiliates. Because the visitor is going to the sales page there is no way that I no of to ad code to that sales page. Therefore you can't track to see if there is a sale.

I usually use a separate landing page for a ppc campaign. This does 2 things. You can track the visitors who click on your ad see where they are coming and where they are going. I create a landing page with related content, this can warm the visitor up to the product. Some people use blogs and or create a review site. I have also noticed that a separate landing page will reduce the cost of your ppc in many cases.

If there are many other affiliates promoting the product it may be hard to get good cost affective page positioning of your ad. With your own unique landing page there won't be anyone competing with you for the same page.

Also if you use blogs you can also try to get an organic ranking now you will be there 24/7 for free. :)

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

You can always try to contact the vendor to see if they would be willing to ad your tracking code to there sales page.

    hi cbolts,

If you're talking about tracking your Click conversion from your site, to the clickbank merchant's page, then I don't know of any other tool because what I'm currently is a tool within wealthyaffiliates.

But if you are talking about tracking the sales conversions from your adwords ppc, I have posted a solution in this thread :

Google's conversion isn't always accurate, so I suggest you use Clickbank's TID. I'm currently using it and it is a good way of tracking your sales.

it is very easy to track sales in your clickbank account
    use 'tid' like this:
    yournickname.vendornickname.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=somecode

promote this link and when you make sale,
'somecode' will be shown under 'TID' in your clickbank account
