not sure what you trying to do. are you talking about sharing the same analytics code between 2 domains?

okay... I have a website at widget.com of which I have a tracking code and analytics work fine and very happy with it.. I have also added a test goal from the home page of that website to other pages.. all works fine... ie.. widget.com to widget.com/apples.html

however.... I am an affiliate and when my customers purchase an item they are taken off-site to a sub-domain on another domain called for example widget.cyber.co.uk

I can have access to post a tracking code on to the final thank you page of the sub-domain (once a purchase is completed) that an example is widget.cyber.co.uk/thankyou.html

BUT how and where do I generate a tracking code to have added there.... is it the same tracking code as widget.com or do I create another profile ?

I would like to track visitors from widget.com (or whichever page) to widget.cyber.co.uk/thankyou.html

@ imperialDirectory - The OP isn't talking about tracking a code in multiple domains (i.e. subdomain of his own main domain) The OP tries to track a sub-domain of another Main domain which he/she doesn't own. Is that right OP?

Hi.. tracking is across domains:- I have had some succes in getting 'goals' showing up but they seem to be showing every one that lands on teh sales completed page...

In the goals and funnel section....

I have added: widget.sales.co.uk/completed.html to the goal...
but what do I add to the Funnel section?
    Step 1... www.widget.com
    Step 2 www.widget.sales.co.uk/completed.html

    ?? Does that work?

    Simple advice,

add two different prfiles for both the domains.

place the tracking code to both the domains, you could easily track visitors to both of the domains individually.

    hm...

    still have not resolved this....

I need to be able to see that a customer has visited one page at:
www.widget.com/apple.html and then be able to see the visitors at

www.widget.sales.co.uk/completed.html have come from the first page at widget.com/apple.html
