Tracking clicks from external static banners in Analytics?

    Hi,

I have just added a static banner to an external website and was wondering if there is a way of adding a ID code to the external link (i.e. see below) so I can track incoming clicks etc from that banner?

    <a href="http://www.mywebsite.com/?id=digitalpoint">...</a>

So all clicks from there are logged under DP?

    Thanks :)

Do you have PHP and a MySQL database?
If so I could make you a script for $2 AUD

    Hi,

Yes I could write a script as well, but wanted the data in GA if possible... Would be a cool feature. :

    Cheers

I found a very well written article about link tagging here:

Is this what you are looking for?
