Tracking bots without logs/server access?

    Hi there

This is probably impossible, but I'll ask anyway.:D

I have a website which is hosted for me, so I don't have access to server logs. I update the content myself (as it is X-cart based). But I have no way of knowing what bots have visited me and when.:(

Is there a way I can do this from my website (tracking code or something)? I know spiders don't usually use Javascript, but is there anything that can track them?

    Happy new year.:D

    Regards

    Dilip

Sure, you can use any php based script if you have php.

Power Phlogger (http://www.phpee.com/) can do that for you if you can install it on the server.

Also, there are many scripts around that send you an email when t bots come to you site, but advise that this will be like spammming yourself.
