Hi Guys, I want to be able to track backlinks to my websites. I hate it when we lose a few backlinks and I don't know about it. Is there any system or application to track backlinks and it would notify you if you lost a backlink? Some SEO company must have developed something like this....? Thanks, D
I don't know if there is a system that will notify you of lost backlinks but you can use bluebacklinks.com to view backlinks to your website. I'm not sure how often it's updated but this should be helpful.
Google web master tools is how I keep track of my backlinks. Its just going to happen that you lose a few here and a few there. I like to keep track of the sites that provide the most backlinks and what content they are linking to.
You will lose a few backlinks every once in awhile. But it is important to just focus on building your backlinks.
You can use trackback script in your website, so that you get notification for every backlink. Or you can use Yahoo! Site explorer for tracking backlinks, never use google webmaster tools because it won’t give you the right count.
I use Yahoo search explorer via the "search status" add-on for firefox. Right click on the icon in your toolbar ==> show backward links ==> page external only ==> Yahoo site explorer. It's not 100% accurate but I don't think any are. Another free tool is "Traffic Travis" and I think that "Majestic SEO" offer a free version too.
The idea is fine, generally only the outer chain of queries yahoo site outside the chain of view, that is probably, if your idea can be realized, should be very popular
Track Back is a kind of communication system meant to help two web sites to communicate with each other by sending notification of the updates taking place between the two websites. This notification is sent through Trackback Ping. Here the word ping stands for the short message which is sent from one web server to the other. Track Backs prove beneficial in informing the web sites that you have mentioned their web sites in your web site. This is quite a popular technique with the bloggers. It is generally written as TrackBack or Trackback and also as Track-Back.
yea you my track your backlinks through google webmaster tool.ut there could be no option to know the dropping backlinks.
There are lots of free ones out there.. you can try Google if you already have account there or use yahoo and issue a link domain command.
you should focus on building new backlinks always, becoz once you lose the backlink you can't control..
The best ways definitively are Yahoo! Site Explorer and SEOmoz tools. I have a Premium Account at SEOmoz and it's really worth it.
