is there like a tool out there that tracks where your links are coming from? Like from witch links most of the traffic is coming from and stuff like that.

and Many many more, some even show a world map and clicks on your website.
But, I would suggest you to use Google to track hits on your site.

3rd party counters make your page a bit slower.

 

Use Google Analytics and StatCounter. Im using it and i find it very effective.

Have you try to use hittail.com for monitoring your traffic?

 

You can use Yahoo mybloglog...
