Tracking Affiliate Links for Adwords Using Analytics

    Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding tracking and analytics when using Adwords for affiliate marketing. From my understanding I am not able to track those clicks that go to the checkout page using standard Adwords Tracking. This is a concern because I am more interested in my ROI than CTR. Am I able to track checkout page arrivals using analytics and if so what particular tool(s) would you recommend? Again, thanks for your help.

For a standard ecommerce website you can integreate AdWords to track conversions/goals. Look for 'conversion tracking' in your AdWords account.

I'm not sure how the affiliate marketing ties in with your question though. Are you using AdWords to direct traffic to a website that makes money via affiliate ads? Are you trying to figure out which visitors are generating you affiliate income? If so, you probably can't track it. As far as I know, Google AdWords conversion tracking only tracks the user while on your own website. Affiliate marketers are often left in the dark regarding tracking where your commissions are coming from.

Anybody hear of Tracking202? I think this is capable of tracking direct affiliate links.

My tracking system doesn't need a pixel placed and tracks the roi of every keyword.

If you don't know that, you're flying blind.
