Since I put part of my web development fees "at risk" for a new client based on achieving some search engine goals, I have watched Tracker closely/daily. (PS...I hit my goal ) I have two significant observations: A change in rank (reported by tracker) does not seem to be reflected immediately in manual search results (particularly in Google). However, it DOES seem to reflect that change in a day or two. I have seen days where Tracker reported on ranking in the morning, another in the afternoon, and a third in the evening. (all the same day in server time) I am wondering if these variations are because tracker uses the API and is hitting Google's index DIRECTLY, while manual surfers/searchers are subject to cacheing and other ISP-related activities. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I'm interested in this post as well. It seems I have to manually delete my keyword, then add it again, and whella - a new ranking appears.
Thanks for your quick reply! And yes, I have read the FAQ (but great advice none the less, as it does clear up the issue ) I've found, however, and maybe it's due to my Firefox and cache - but even with a manual "Check All" - my SERPs stay the same. For example: I "Checked All" and it showed my position in 'G' - 151 in SERPs Then I ran my site through googlerankings - and had a SERP of 47! I "Checked All" again, and it showed my position in 'G' as 151 Deleted kw in tool, added it again, and whella - 47! Unless I am reading the FAQ incorrectly (which I wouldn't doubt ) I may be having a problem?
