I own a gaming newsblog and I requently use other gamenewsblogs as a source so my site sends a trackback to theirs. I usually get a few visitors thanks to my trackbacks, but I was wondering if it's actually still useful? Do you still use trackbacks?
Why not? If you're linking to that site anyway you might as well fire out a trackback and get those few visitors + a link.
Sending trackbacks to some big sites might send some traffic your way, but i dont think it might have some link importance.
When you link, link wisely. Normally, I link to blogs who are ranked high for certain keywords on Google, high traffic blogs and new blogs, just for the sake of traffic. I have to say that trackbacks still work. Even if it is not, some blog owners will pay your site a visit anyway.
The no-follow tags in trackbacks aren't really useful, but I think I'll keep sending trackbacks even if they only give me a few extra visitors
