trackbacks and google

I know google doesnt follow the nofollow tag, but lets say a website doesnt have the nofollow for its trackbacks, will posting a trackback count as a backlink when nofollow tag is absent.

 

Ofcourse, it will be considered as a backlink, because google won't be able to know whether it is a trackback or not. For google it is a link.

another quick question how long does it take for google to show serp results for a website that you have a backlink from.

 

is their a way to see if a website uses nofollow

 

The time taken for Google to show the backlink depends on how fast Google is crawling the site.

There are two ways to check for the nofollow attribute
* View the source of the page and check for somthing like rel="nofollow"
* Install the firefox extension Search Status and enable the option Highlight Nofollow Links
