It would make things interesting but could spark up some real online wars involving red reps!

You can see who is reading it at the same time as you so you could always stay up 24/7 stalking your own thread.

I think it's the people who have viewed in the last x minutes... just have to work out what x is :)

IPB allows you to see the last 10 or so visits to your profile. That would be interesting, but I don't know of any forum that allows a general member to see who has visited your threads.

I prefer to remain anonymous sometimes. I really wouldn't like it if everyone could see which threads I had visited. ;)

no it depends on the last activity.

suppose i am viewing a thread and then i change to another thread then i will disappear from the first thread and will be shown as readin the second thread instead. this is almost instantly

if i close the second one also without browsing DP further, then it will show me as reading for 15 minutes after which i will be logged out of DP servers

We should have a DP spy Advanced for that.

It should track users viewing subscribed topic.

someone can probably develop a php script which refreshes the thread page after some seconds and records the line below
it should not be a tough job for the pros

I think there is MOD at vbulletin.org that can do this but why u want to do this?

I'm sure it will be BIG NOOOOOOOO for the BOSS
He doesnt like hacking vbulletin much. (one of the reason is that he is the quickest webmaster to update vbulletin version and hacked vbulletin is pain to upgrade to new version) :D
