There is a web page tracker that will track which AdSense ads are being clicked on your web page. AddFreeStats.com is the web site of the tracker that will track which ads are being clicked. -- Mike http://www.artistmike.com
Yes, I have heard about these types of compaines who track your ads for you and once they have enough data they make their own page in competition to yours. Although all the data they give looks very useful.
I didn't think about that. I just don't like letting any have access to my website stats and that would be one reason why.
I have never used the tracking program, but if it works as it states, no- it is different from channels. Even if you assigned an Adsense channel to every single ad on every different page (impossible for a large site), Adsense still wouldn't report which ad position was clicked in a banner with 4 ads AND it wouldn't tell you the specific ad on ANY click.
Yep, I have it on a few main pages of my site and I then can track which ads are doing a good job of getting clicks. I can keep track of individual ads out of ad blocks, and see which individual ads are making me the most money. -- Mike http://www.artistmike.com
Not down to the individual ad you can't. Unless you only have one ad in your ad block and that is the only ad in the channel ... -- Mike http://www.artistmike.com
I have used it on a few sites that I want to give people easy access to log info. It works great. eg. www.abbotsfordpilots.com
What about this then? http://www.monetizers.com/php-click-tracker.php Found it on hotscripts.com and there's some others on there...
I'm using addfreestats for some of my sites.. Well, they're pretty good compared to other free stats I ever used before. But I think the adsense stats shown on their log is not that accurate, I always have more clicks shown on my adsense stats than the clicks shown on their log.
Do you have the AddFreeStats code on every page you have AdSense on? If not then they can't keep track of those pages and those ad clicks. -- Mike http://www.artistmike.com
Do you find that the stats give you a good idea of which ads are being clicked? I find that -- even if the stats are not quite the same a AdSense -- I get a very good idea of which ads are being clicked on in the adblocks. exactly! here is what I found and it is nice wroted: "CAUTION: There are a ton of sites offering to host your stats; basically they give you a javascript and that records your clicks and then offer you free stats, etc. What they do not tell you is that you're telling them your hot keywords and your best pages. Many take that information and create similar pages or sites that compete with you..."
I've installed on my site to see how it function and it seems to be good, the only problem is that tracks only IE visitors. Mozilla and Opera users are not tracked down.
