track visitor IP

    HI

Does analytics have the option of tracking a particular visitor by his IP address ? (where he came from, how much time he spent, where does he go on my website and so on? )

I am not interested in tracking general trends but only particular visitors.

Does analytics hav that option? If not, can anyone recommend any other monitoring service (free) which can do this job?

    thanks

I think we can see where he came from, how much time he spent but we can't get his IP, just hope that there is any option for that

You can set up GA to do this - but I think you'll find it easier to use statcounter for it - it's eaxctly the sort of thing its good for - though it doesn't have the depth and range of data that GA does - GA is better for seeing trends.

ok.. suppose i have to find which browser was a person with this IP using **.**.**.*** in analytics? How do I do that?

also, i checked out statcounter, they have a limit of tracking complete details of only 500 last visitors.

You'll need to set up an advanced custom filter, it's not something that comes as 'standard' in GA. You'll need to look up what the regex is for it. I've done it in the past, but I can't remember exactly what it was.

every thing u need u can get by GA except IP . GA can show this but it is not showing due to some security reason.
any way u can use stat counter to know IP as well other details.
but GA is best free tool to analyze

Please correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know there is no IP monitor capability in Google Analytics.
