1. Simple survey by asking the customer where he/she chanced upon your ad 2. If you're in the testing phase and would like to figure out what are your profitable marketing channels, you could put a simple coupon code in your ad, and ask customers to mention it when conducting the transaction offline. 3. Measure correlation between the running of your ads & sales, while keep the rest of your traffic channels silent. This helps you to see a salient relationship. Just my 2 cents.
