Track Domains is a site which I've written more or less from scratch in the last week. The idea behind the site is to help people keep track of their domains (if you're anything like me, you'll own lots of domains across various registrars and keeping on top of them all is a nightmare) and view them all in one place. I'm still working on the site and implementing new features, but I'd really appreciate any feedback - either on how the site works or the design. You need to register in order to access most of the functionality, but you can easily delete your account at any time and all your details will be instantly removed from the database. (I'm aware that the 'edit profile' option doesn't work and that you can 'track' domains which haven't been registered - I'll probably fix these tomorrow). Thanks!
The idea behind is very well. I had the idea earlier, but never worked it out, and now you did - very well About the validation email: it went to my spam box for some reason (working with gmail). Maybe you could try to get around that? I love the autodetect-fuction of the expiry date, but is there also a possibility maybe to add a field in which you can enter the registrar? That'ld be quite nice I don't know if you're planning to change the design? As it currently is, its very good for its purpose ... I'ld only add a professional logo on top, replacing the text! And maybe use some more images Keep it up!
It did that with me as well - in my experience Gmail is quite aggressive in marking verification emails as spam. I might fiddle about with the wording to see if that makes any difference, and perhaps also put a note on the post-registration page asking people to check their spam folder as well. Actually, it might be possible to auto-detect the registrar as well - I'll try and add that automatically, if not then a field to enter it (or perhaps have the most common ones already available to select from) will be added. I wasn't planning on changing the design as I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, plus I'm not all that good at creating amazing graphics from scratch. A logo is something which I would like to add at some point, but I haven't managed to make one which I like yet, so I may end up paying someone to create on for me. I'm not really sure where I'd put any images or what they would be of - were you thinking of anything in particular? Thanks for the positive feedback!
