    Heard of Panda Antivirus?
its the most fking antivirus ever... ever!

detected for a threat, removed it and guess what?
the whole system crashes. Ah and there's this Microsoft new feature call WINDOWS RECOVERY?'

-recover my windows. and nu uh.. didn't work either. And ah there's so many features in the new laptop, HP recovery wizard.

Backed up all the files and Do the HP recovery. It was successful. but not really.

The files that I've backed up. It was empty!!! I know I have backed them up. infront of my very own eyes, but guess what HP doesn't help at all!!! It didn't back up my files!!!

and Now here I am- hoping that I could recover all the files :(

I'm sorry to hear about your problem but now I know that I should never consider using Panda Antivirus.

There are some programs out there that can help you recover some files from your hard drive even if it was formatted ;) Mr. Google can tell you about them!

P.S.: don't use Panda. It sucks! Use Kaspersky or McAfee Internet Security instead.

I have had similar problems before. I use Nod 32 antivirus (just love it now) and also with it I do a weekly backup's on my DVD. Backing up important data is really critical these days.

I managed to recover about 70% of the files... but the rest is pretty important to me. but yah--- that's just it. you can't really do anything about it. damn.

and one more thing even the files are recovered the filename won't be the same. THats the other thing.
