http://totalposters.com Its a Bidding directory we just created. Add to a bunch of large bid directories near the top. Does the layout look ok? Any suggestions?
Note I started with 4 links to some of my network sites all at under $20. Had to start off the directory with a few links which are talkgold.com, filesharingtalk.com, goldrater.com and buycheaptraffic.com. I will NEVER up these bids at any time, thats a promise. Site is a PR 4 Plus I just added the following: - #3 spot at bigweblinks.com $1420 - #1 spot at cdhnow.com $520 - #1 spot at zorglinks.com $90 - #11th spot at webdirectorybid.com at $867 Will be purchasing more links daily as this is a long term project. The person above who posted was a banned member of one of my forums who is out for a revenge.
Thinking about redoing some of the design and having some custom graphics layout made. Also spent some more on links today!
Are these links permanent? How to you intend to make a continous income with this site?? What happens if it gets to a point were the average person cannot afford to pay $2000+ to get into the top ten? and income stalls? Would you be better off making the website owners bid on a monthly fee for the spot and then base that on ranking?
I'm seeing too much open space and randomness in the header. I think I'd make that text logo a little bigger.
It's a bid directory. If people dont want to pay $2000 for a front page listing eventually, then oh well, you can always get category front pages. Brian
Site is nice. Try to use white color fonts on most of the drak background. It will help visitors to quickly read the text. Thanks.
Your contact link location is weird, especially since you have a contact link just under it. People expect the top most left element on a website to be the logo or a home link. At 1024x768 (Simulated in Firefox) the navigation links bleed to the next line, also, they look odd with random colors. The tagline is far and oddly spaced from the logo. I believe there is waaay too much drop shadow around your bullets. The trapped whitespace under top bidder is distracting. You have a couple empty containers, but I'm sure you'll fill them with something, but you should remove them until you do.
