Hi I am trying to do optimization for the key word "life insurance" and if you see insureme.com has about three totally unrelated sites with higher rankings than some of the biggest companies in the US when you search "life insurance" on Google. For example, http://www.theartoflivingyoga.com/ is ranked in the top 10!! http://www.nc73.org/ is ranked in the top 15!!!! How is this possible? All the content that is in the sites is basically links! Im shocked by this...
I'm not seeing ANY of those domains in the top 10 over here. I have my account set to show 100 results per page, and I'm not seeing them ANYWHERE.
theartoflivingyoga is in 12th right now, but if you click the Google "cached" link, you'll get some insight to some of the reason they rank high. It just appears the domain name is mis-leading somewhat... Also, do a google search on the term artoflivingyoga.com and you can explore more reasons for the high ranking... It appears he is using some type of link spamming or link buying strategy...
wow this must be violating the TOS from google. Insureme.com should be banned, they are using blackhat techniques to get up there momentarily....
So you are telling me that if I spend $300 on TNX PR6 relevant links I will have my site there also? I mean, these guys do it with several domain and obviously Google is de-indexing the domains in less than a week. But somehow they manage to keep them coming, just today I saw another totally unrelated domain higher than most huge insurance companies.
You should try http://www.contextual-style.com. They are one-way unique links from blogs. They are high quality editorial links (unique). And no it won't happen with $300 dollars... Believe me I know we work with some of the most competitive insurance company verticals in the web 2.0 sphere.
